Ben is a Gold Coast local having completed all of his schooling here. After completing a degree in Exercise Science at the University of Queensland he went on to study Podiatry at QUT in Brisbane, graduating in 1998. Ben returned to the Gold Coast to work and helped establish Gold Coast Foot Centres in 1999.
Ben’s interest in the biomechanics of sport led him into the burgeoning local triathlon scene. Cycling remains his current passion and he continues to enjoy an annual family holiday to compete in the Noosa Triathlon.
Ben’s key area of interest is sport’s podiatry, especially kids sport. He enjoys working as part of a large network of specialist medical & allied health practitioners in this field. Ben was a member of the medical team for the inaugural Gold Coast Suns AFL team in 2009 and continues in this role to date.
Ben has spoken at a number of local seminars and lectures on the biomechanics of the foot & ankle to physiotherapy students at Griffith University.
